Antibiotic Resistance Plan

The government released its second and most recent action plan for 2020-2025 regarding the threat of AMR in the "National Action Plan for Combating Antibiotic Resistant Bacteria." While the program's goals have stayed the same since 2015, the updated objectives call for increased lab testing, lowered rates of inappropriate outpatient use, the collection of more data on resistant pathogens, and minimizing the number of healthcare antibiotic resistant infections. Financial support for the development of novel therapeutics is also included in the plan.
